2002

  • Set up in March 2002 with 22 staff. Ireland’s largest recruitment start-up in history

 

2003

2004

  • Sigmar Aviation sets up.
  • Sigmar opens two European offices.

2005

  • Sigmar sets up Healthcare Division.
  • Newcourt acquires majority stake in Sigmar.
  • Sigmar opens office in Galway, Ireland.

 

2006

  • Sigmar opens further European offices in Germany and Poland.



2007

  • Sigmar among Top 10 Companies to work for in Ireland 2007.
  • Top 100 Companies to work for in Europe 2007.
  • Sigmar only indigenous Irish company to be short listed for special award at European awards.
  • Sigmar Wins award for Credibility at same awards.
  • Sigmar opens office in Bulgaria.

2008

  • Sigmar voted Number 1 company to work for in Ireland (under 100 employees) 2008.
  • Voted among Top 50 European workplaces (under 500 employees) 2008.
  • Winner of 2 Excellence in Recruitment Advertising Awards for Financial and Healthcare.
  • Sigmar opens International Banking and Finance Division.
  • Sigmar opens Travel & Tourism Division.
  • Sigmar shortlisted for Agency of the Year and Financial Services Recruiter 2008 at NRF Awards.

2009

  • Sigmar among Top 10 Companies to work for in Ireland 2009.
  • Voted among Top 20 European workplaces (under 500 employees) 2009.
  • Sigmar complete MBO from Newcourt Group financed by internal and external investors.
  • Voted Best in Practice for  both Technical / Engineering and Financial Teams at NRF awards 2009.

 

2010

  • Sigmar launch the Job Creation Initiative which was presented to Batt O'Keefe, Minister for Trade, Enterprise and Innovation in April 2010
  • Voted Best in Practice for Financial and Sales & Marketing recruitment teams at NRF awards 2010.

 

2011

  • Sigmar launch National Employment Week in February 2011 to address the barriers faced by jobseekers. Joint sponsors include Monster and Accenture.
  • Sigmar expand into south east asian market, opening an office in Singapore in September 2011.
  • Voted Best in Practice for Sales & Marketing recruitment team at NRF awards 2011, and winner of recruiter of the Year, Peter Nunan.

 

2012

  • Sigmar launch "Gateway to Europe Expo" in Boston USA in March 2012.
